MANCHESTER, N.H (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A 57-year-old man who goes by the name "Dollar Bill" was arrested Wednesday night after he reportedly slashed a woman's face with a small knife during an argument.
Manchester
police officers responded to an alley near 1105 Elm St. for a reported
stabbing. Upon arrival, they encountered 29-year-old Maria Moriarty who was
bleeding significantly from her chin and lip.
Moriarty told officers that she and a man she knows as "Dollar Bill" were
involved in an argument over money in an apartment above Mint Restaurant on Elm
Street. She reportedly left the apartment with "Dollar Bill" as the argument
continued when he swung at her with a small knife and fled the scene.
Witnesses and other information regarding "Dollar Bill" led police to the home
of William Addison. Addison matches the physical description given of the
suspect and is known to go by that street name.
Officers located a
jacket similar to the one described by witnesses and a small folding knife.
Addison is charged with first degree assault, simple assault, and possession of a deadly weapon by convicted felon. He refused bail and will be arraigned Thursday morning.
