BURLINGTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A Burlington tanning salon owner and her brother are facing drug charges after police reportedly intercepted a package containing 12 pounds of marijuana.

Burlington police tell FOX 25 the package was mailed from California to the Tanorama Suntanning Center on Cambridge Street. The estimated street value of the marijuana is $60,000.

Burlington Police, working alongside U.S. Postal Inspectors from California and Massachusetts, executed a search warrant on Thursday after two packages of marijuana were delivered to the salon.

The salon owner, 22-year-old Julia Symonds, of Boston, was arrested as a result of the investigation and charged with possession with intent to distribute a class D drug and conspiracy to violate the drug laws. Her brother, John Symonds, 25, of Winchester, was also arrested and charged with conspiracy to violate the drug laws.

Both Julia and John will be arraigned on March 4. An investigation is ongoing.
