CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -
A west suburban Aurora man is accused of groping a 12-year-old girl while she slept over at a friend's home Friday into Saturday night in the Gresham neighborhood.
George N. Oliver, 59, of the 500 block of West Fifth Avenue in Aurora, was arrested after police were told he fondled and caressed the girl while she was in the home in the 8400 block of South Vincennes, according to police reports.
The girl was sleeping over at a friend's house at the time. Oliver is dating the friend's grandmother, the prosecutor said. He was "highly intoxicated" at the time of the assault, according to police reports.
Cook County Judge Israel Desierto ordered Oliver, who was charged with predatory criminal sexual assault, held in lieu of $200,000 bail.
