(FOX News) - A plane approaching an Illinois airport is reportedly preparing for a crash landing.

Fox2Now.com reports that the Learjet with eight passengers is
experiencing landing gear problems. Officials at Parks Airport in
Cahokia said they are preparing for a crash-landing scenario.
Four ambulances have been requested along with other emergency
equipment. The plane reported problem with its landing gear just before
noon.
The plane flew by the tower for a visual inspection when it was
determined that the front landing gear was copped to the side, making it
impossible to make a safe landing.
FAA officials told FoxNews.com they had no information as of 12:45 local time.
