Would Romney be a good choice for Detroit's EM?

Several news agencies, including Fox News, Huffington Post, Yahoo and a few local web sites are throwing Mitt Romney's name into the ring as a candidate to take the emergency manager position that soon may be offered by Michigan Governor Rick Snyder.

The articles posted generally speculate how Romney might handle the job.  Some pieces are outright endorsements of Romney's candidacy.

Just Google 'Romney-Detroit" to find more than a dozen articles on the subject.

Quick facts:

Romney is credited for turning around the Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City in 2002.

He was the Governor of Massachusetts from 2003-2007.

His father George Romney was CEO of American Motors and served as Governor of Michigan from 1963-1969.

Mitt grew up in Bloomfield Hills and attended Cranbrook School.

He ran for president in 2012 and lost to incumbent Barack Obama.
