(MyFoxBoston.com) – A Cambridge man accused of raping an 11-year-old boy and then stabbing the boy's father during a 2010 home invasion has been convicted.

Marcos Colono, 35, was found guilty of two counts of home invasion, two counts of aggravated rape of a child with force, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a child and armed assault with the intent to murder.

Colono was sentenced to 60 to 70 years in prison on the home invasion and aggravated rape charges, as well as an additional 14 to 15 years for the assault and battery with a dangerous weapon charges. He was also sentenced to 20 years probation for the assault with intent to murder charge that is to run concurrent with the prison sentence.

Authorities learned that the defendant entered the home and attacked the victims, raping the young son and stabbing the father so many times he nearly died of blood loss, before fleeing the residence.

Investigators say a bloody fingerprint found during this investigation may be connected to two alleged rape cases that occurred in Brighton in 2008. He has not been charged.
