PLUM ISLAND, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Plum Island is one of the places being hit hard by the storm.
Large waves and a strong storm surge are bashing oceanfront homes. Many foundations are cracked and crumbling and beach erosion is also a major concern.
A FOX 25 News crew was 30 feet away from the water's edge when a wave suddenly soaked them. Whitewater rushed over rocks, sending sea water smashing into a camera.
Officials are worried about what may happen Friday morning at high tide, which is at around 8 a.m.
