(MyFoxBoston.com) – A 22-year-old Braintree man was arrested for reportedly shooting a male victim in the area of 41 Holworthy Street in Roxbury on Friday night.

Police officers responded to Holworthy Street around 7:50 p.m. and found a Hispanic male suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. He was transported to Boston Medical Center and is in stable condition.

Officers were told a black Cadillac was seen fleeing the area, and a short time later, officers found a car matching the description in the area of Parker Street and Heath Street.

The suspect vehicle reportedly slowed down, came to a complete stop, and then reversed into a parking lot. Police attempted a traffic stop, but the driver was uncooperative and attempted to leave his car with the windows open.

Officers recovered a firearm inside the car.

Paul Walrond is facing numerous charges, including assault with intent to murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, and assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon.
