NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

The FDNY says more than a dozen people were injured after a high-rise fire on the Upper East Side early Saturday morning.

The blaze started on the 12th floor of a 40-story building around 4:00 a.m. on Second Avenue near 92nd Street. Firefighters needed two hours to extinguish the fire.

Ten residents and nine firefighters were taken to the hospital. One person is listed in serious condition.

The FDNY says their investigation is ongoing and the fire doesn't appear to be suspicious.
