A cold front brought heavy downpours to the area Tuesday night. Localized street flooding was reported. A flood watch will continue into Wednesday morning as the water from the rain and snowmelt runs into the area streams and rivers. Only minor flooding is expected, with the Assabet River in Maynard the most vulnerable to reaching flood stage.
Still mild Wednesday, but colder temperatures will move in to end the week. There will be scattered rain and snow showers Thursday as the cold moves in. A weak clipper will bring light snow and rain showers early Saturday with little accumulation likely. A bigger storm is in the models for next week, but it could go either way between rain and snow, so stay with us on that one.
No major storms through the weekend, so enjoy the break.
