Posted: Updated:

Today at Saks Fifth Avenue an Italian jewelry designer, Marco Bicego will present his newest collection, Murano Link. Old world Italian craftsmanship meets everyday luxury in every piece of Bicego's modern jewelry. Made from tradition, passion and imagination, Bicego has over 10 years of experience designing, perfecting and selling jewelry.

Bicego launched his jewelry company in 2000 and has distributed to more than 350 fine jewelry retailers in North America. Bicego's jewelry is known for its uniqueness, presenting crafted pieces bold enough to make a statement, yet personal enough to wear everyday.

Before launching the line, Bicego spent years perfecting his craft with his family in Italy. Bicego's signature within his line is yellow gold. According to Bicego, the yellow gold is part of Italian culture and also the DNA of the Marco Bicego brand. The new Murano Link line includes organic oriented, irregular colors, the colors of the lagoon in Mulano. Bicego says the Mulano line has intense colors and suggests wearing his jewelry both as casual or dressy. The engraving and gold polishing is done by Bicego's tools, which are featured in the video above. Each small piece is carefully handcrafted to make larger jewelry pieces, such as his long necklaces, which he says are perfect for 'playing up' an outfit.

The Murano Link jewelry line will be launched today from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Saks.

It's not just the styles that have changed with weddings over the years -- it's also the technology. Disposable cameras used to be the norm, but now there's an even simpler way for the bride and groom to get some candid photos of their special day.
