The top 10 American Idol contestants sang their hearts out in order to win America's vote.
But Wednesday night it seems one of the judges upstaged the contestants for at least for the first 20 minutes.
Nicki Minaj showed up 20 minutes later looking all casual in her black hoody and sunglasses, just in time for Janelle Arthur's country performance of "Gone."
Curtis Finch Jr. showed off his vocals in honor of "Fantasia" and Randy liked more than his voice.
The contestants chose to sing songs that past Idol winners sang.
Devin Velez chose Carrie Underwood's "Temporary Home" but didn't impress the judges.
Angie Miller chose to sing the same Celine Dion song, "I Surrender," that Kelly Clarkson sang during Season 1. All the judges were impressed but Mariah Carey summed up her performance with one word: "stellar."
Paul Jolley has been criticized for "over-singing" and needs to "tone both his voice and performance down"

You can call, text, email, Facebook your votes. This season you can "supervote" -- which means you can cast 50 votes online at once for your favorite contestant or you can split up your votes to other contestants.

Jay-Z's partnership with Samsung for his new album, "Magna Carta Holy Grail," is another sign of how musicians are finding new ways to push, sell and promote their music, and how the multiplatinum performer -- who famously rapped "I'm not a businessman, I'm a business, man" -- continues to leverage his enduring popularity into a successful brand.
