3 Philly Teams Dance Into NCAA Tournament

Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

Heading into selection Sunday, three Philadelphia schools were on the bubble.

Villanova, Temple, and LaSalle all had to wait and see if they would get a chance to play in the big dance.

The first team to find out their fate was Villanova. They learned on "Selection Sunday" that they will take on North Carolina on Friday in Kansas City.

The winner of that game will most likely have to take on No. 1 seed Kansas, assuming they take care of 16 seed Western Kentucky.

After Villanova we found out that Temple will take on North Carolina State on Friday in Dayton, Ohio.

The winner of that game will most likely have to take on No. 1-seeded Indiana.

The final local team on the bubble was LaSalle. It turns out the Explorers will play Boise State on Wednesday night.

If they win that game, they will advance to take on Kansas State.
