The Long Island Rail Road service will have some delays and cancellations through Friday after a train derailment caused damage to about three-quarters of a mile of track near Jamaica station.

Crews are working to remove the derailed cars and repair the track. The repairs will take until at least Friday, the MTA said.

One of the four main tracks between Penn Station and Jamaica remains out of service.
