DENVER, COLO. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The agents representing former Patriot Wes Welker claim the team gave the wide receiver a "take-it-or-leave-it offer."

According to NFL.com, Athletes First sent an e-mail in response to Patriots owner Robert Kraft's comments. Kraft reportedly said the team was willing to pay Welker slightly above his market value.

In the e-mail, Welker's agents say they were told there were no negotiable components of the offer given to them by the Patriots. They say the team's refusal to negotiate "made it easy" to reject their offer.

Welker signed a two-year, $12 million deal with the Denver Broncos last week. Hours later, news broke that the Patriots signed wide receiver Danny Amendola. NFL.com's Ian Rapoport claims the Patriots were in talks with Amendola during the entirety of Welker's negotiations.
