Operation Wedding: Choosing the dress

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

Our Operation Wedding winners, Staff Sergeant Ancil Christopher and Tamika Russell, toured the beautiful Ashton Gardens last week, and this week, Russell had a tough decision to make – choosing her dress.

For the couple, the stage has been set. The breath-taking wedding chapel and elegant ballroom of Ashton Gardens is the venue for their wedding, and they even sat down with Marjorie Pruit of Deco Marj to design their invitations.

Now, she's choosing her gown, so she brought her reinforcements to Anya Bridal - her mother and bridesmaids. Anya Bridal is a future bride's playground. There's enough tulle, lace, and bling to make a hard decision harder.

"I like this one too y'all. I love, love, love that one," exclaimed Russell.

But Russell and her team stayed focused and narrowed it down. While Russell got into gowns, her bridesmaids snuck away to look at bridesmaid dresses. But, once Russell emerged, all eyes were on her.

She tried on several tear-worthy gowns, and her mom and bridesmaids nodded their approval as she tried on each one. The ultimate decision will be Russell's.

"She will look beautiful in the end. She will look like the Barbie Doll that she is. Live, and in color," said Russell's mother, Tonia Smith.

Russell made her choice, but we'll have to wait until the wedding day to see which one she chose!
