Missing college student found dead in Pilsen apartment

The body of a Harold Washington College student who was reported missing last month was found decomposing in a Pilsen neighborhood apartment this week, authorities said.
Michelle Manalansan, 29, was last seen wearing a pink jogging suit near her North Loop residence, in the 300 block of East South Water Street, on Feb. 9, according to a missing person alert issued at the time.
On Sunday, her decomposed body was found in an apartment in the Pilsen neighborhood in the 1400 block of West Cullerton Avenue, authorities said.
Police continue to investigate the cause of her death after an autopsy performed on Monday was inconclusive.
