3 Injured After Car Strikes Tree Along Roosevelt Blvd.

Three people were injured after a car lost control and struck a tree early Sunday morning in Philadelphia. Three people were injured after a car lost control and struck a tree early Sunday morning in Philadelphia.
PHILADELPHIA -

Three people were injured after police say a car lost control and struck a tree along Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia early Sunday morning.

The accident happened around 3:30 a.m. on the 13000 block of Roosevelt Boulevard.

A witness reports seeing a Plymouth Neon headed northbound strike a curb, lose control and then hit a tree. The witness says the car crossed unexpectedly in front of him, forcing him to jump out of the way.

The driver and two passengers were taken to the hospital.

According to police, the driver, a 20-year-old, faces a DUI charge and other related offenses.
