From FOX 25 Meteorologist Shiri Spear
Sunshine will carry thermometer readings into the mid 40s by lunch and lower 50s for highs in the Boston area. Clouds will thicken this afternoon and produce some scattered, generally light, showers for bus stop pick up and the evening commute. Rain will not be widespread today.
As temps drop back into the 30s overnight, sprinkles will become flurries. Light accumulation will likely greet early risers Thursday. In fact, a few snow showers will be around during the morning drive. Accumulations from a coating to about an inch are possible from Plymouth north. That means slippery conditions are possible in Boston and Worcester. The Cape and Islands will likely be too mild to see sticking, but a slushy dusting in a couple of spots isn't completely out of the question.
After 9 a.m., it will be mild enough to switch the patchy light snow back to sprinkles. An occasional shower should be expected Thursday. Seasonable highs will land in the upper 40s.
Gradual warming will occur into the weekend. By Easter Sunday, highs are forecasted to reach the mid 50s with a pleasant mix of sun and clouds.
