BOSTON (AP) - An Everett man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing death of a hair stylist whose body was found last month beneath an Interstate 93 overpass in Boston.
Authorities say 39-year-old Christopher Powell is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday on a murder charge in connection with the death of 44-year-old Corey Thompson. Powell was arrested Tuesday.
Thompson's body was spotted Feb. 25 by a passer-by beneath the overpass near the intersection of Albany and Traveler streets.
Prosecutors say Powell stabbed Thompson during an altercation at the site. Authorities did not disclose what led to the fight.
Co-workers say Thompson was a stylist at a Newbury Street salon who was popular with customers. He lived in the South End.
It was not clear if Powell had hired a lawyer.
