LYNN, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A 40-year-old Lynn woman was arrested for reportedly stealing credit and debit cards from two separate teachers at the Cobbett Elementary School.

Lelani Ray is currently facing two counts of larceny from a building, forgery, and credit card fraud charges; however, police suspect Ray may be responsible for other larcenies in several different towns and cities.

Police responded to Cobbett Elementary School on March 21 after two teachers reported items missing from their pocketbooks in their classrooms.

An investigation led police to Ray, who police said had numerous out of town warrants for similar charges.

A search warrant was conducted as part of this investigation at Ray's residence. Police reportedly recovered dozens of pocketbooks and wallets, as well as other possible stolen items.

Detectives believe teachers were one of the main targets for these thefts.
