Charges were dropped against three men accused of assaulting former Philadelphia police lieutenant Jonathan Josey.
The charges stemmed from a traffic stop in 2011, where investigators say a car pulled up behind Josey after he pulled over another car.
Josey was acquitted of assaulting a woman during the Puerto Rican Day Parade in Philadelphia last year.
Prosecutors say the decision to drop the charges was not related to the incident at last year's parade.
"After reviewing all of the evidence in this case, the District Attorney's Office decided the most appropriate action at this time was to nolle prosse. This decision has nothing to do with the charges against Lt. Josey last year for the assault on Aida Guzman," a statement from the district attorney's office read.
