NH investigators identify suspect fatally wounded during police-involved shooting

WALPOLE, NH (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police have identified the man who was fatally wounded during a police-involved shooting on Friday afternoon.

Results of an autopsy released on Saturday suggest 53-year-old Larry Albert Bohannon of Grafton, NH, died as a result of gunshot wounds to the head, chest, and abdomen.

According to New Hampshire Attorney General Michael Delaney's office, police from Walpole and Alstead began pursuing Bohannon for his alleged connection to an armed robbery in Bellow Falls, VT.

Police stopped Bohannon's car on Upper Walpole Road in Walpole and a confrontation ensued. During the confrontation, shots were fired by police and the suspect died at the scene.

The suspect has not been identified. The shooting is being investigated by New Hampshire State police, Walpole police, Alstead police, and the attorney general's office.
