SPARTANBURG, SC (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A South Carolina woman was arrested this week after slapping a boy she thought was her son.
FOX Carolina reports 36-year-old Tyshekka Collier of Spartanburg went to her son's school on Wednesday morning after learning her son was suspended. She entered the school's office and slapped a child she thought was her son.
The boy she hit was waiting to be picked up by his mother after he began feeling sick during class. When Collier realized she hit the wrong child, she apologized before walking over to her son and hitting him. Police say her son was knocked to the ground.
The mother of the boy accidentally slapped by Collier tells FOX Carolina when she arrived to the school, her child greeted her by saying, "Mamma, I've been slapped." She says her son does not look like Collier's son.
Collier was arrested and charged with disturbing a school and third-degree assault and battery. Her children were placed in protective custody after the incident.
