ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WJBK) -

As the Wolverines prepare to head to the Final Four in Atlanta, Ann Arbor is getting ready for what is shaping up to be a huge party weekend with several big events on tap.

"There's a Fest of Fools event, which is this fun, crazy parade in downtown Ann Arbor, and there's the Hash Bash, as well," said U of M spokesperson Rick Fitzgerald.  "So there's no question there will be lots of people in Ann Arbor this weekend."

Fitzgerald said security plans and other preparations are in the early stages and will be solidified throughout the week.

Students we spoke with are either making travel plans or getting set to cheer on their team at home.

"My friend has tickets, and her brother lives in Atlanta.  So we're probably going to drive down and stay the whole weekend," said Frankie Shlain.

Over at the Alumni Association, the phones have been ringing off the hook.  They are chartering planes, but do they have any Final Four tickets?

"No," said Kirk Lutz.  "Good luck finding some."

The university's sports department says tickets are being offered only to basketball season ticket holders.  Students with season tickets must order online by Tuesday to watch Michigan take on the Syracuse Orange in person.

Fans who want Final Four tickets are being urged to go to the NCAA website or StubHub.
