BEDFORD, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Prosecutors in New Hampshire say they know the motive behind a violent November home invasion in Bedford.

Dr. Eduardo Quesada and his wife, Sonia, were attacked in their Proclamation Point home in late November.

Eduardo Quesada was found bloodied in the house, and his wife ran down the long driveway to a neighbor's home to call police. The couple's two-year-old daughter was found in the house unharmed.

The doctor's injuries were life-threatening, and he was hospitalized for a time. Sonia Quesada was treated and released.

On Tuesday, the Hillsborough County Attorney's office said it knew the motive behind the attack, but did not give any further details.

In January, Sonia Quesada was found dead in a relative's home. Eduardo Quesada was found unconscious nearby.

An autopsy was performed on Sonia Quesada but the results have not been made public.

Investigators have said that the home invasion and death were not connected.
