CONWAY, N.H.(MyFoxBoston.com) - Police are asking motorists and citizens to be on the lookout for a suspicious driver in a red Honda Civic with New Jersey plates who reportedly approached school children in New Hampshire and Maine.

Gary MacDonald, a superintendent in Fryeburg, Maine, sent a letter home to parents last Friday advising them that a driver approached elementary school-aged children in the Stow/Fryeburg Harbor, Maine area.

The Union Leader says that two incidents were reported in Maine and that the license plate was covered with duct tape in the second incident.

On Friday, Conway police said a vehicle and driver matching the description of the man and the Civic wanted in Maine were seen at about noon at Doloff Pond.

Two men were reportedly inside the red car.

The driver is approximately 30-years-old and male. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a Red Sox cap, gray sweatshirt and blue jeans, reports the newspaper.

Anyone with information about the suspicious driver or the vehicle is asked to call police at 603-356-5715.
