DEDHAM, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A car heading northbound on Route 128 in Dedham Friday morning drove off an embankment in a construction zone.
The one-car crash happened at 10:24 a.m. just before Exit 17. According to state police, an unidentified 57-year-old Bridgewater man entered the construction area near Exit 15 and continued to drive on an unpaved, construction access road.
Just prior to Exit 17, the vehicle hit a construction truck and went down an embankment, state police said.
The driver was taken to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston with non-life-threatening injuries.
State police said they are looking into the possibility of a medical issue being the cause of the crash.
