WAUKEGAN, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Emergency crews are searching a north suburban pond Tuesday for a man who has been missing since September.

Isaac Danyus, 62, was last seen at his home in the 2300 block of Dover in Waukegan on Sept. 27, 2012, according Waukegan police.

He was distraught about the loss of a close family member when he disappeared, according to police.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Waukegan Fire Department was searching a pond in Bevier Park in the 2200 block of West Yorkhouse Road for his body, police said.

But police stressed there was no indication that Danyus' body was in the pond but firefighters were searching to eliminate it as a possibility, police said.

Danyus is described as black, 5-foot-9 and 155 pounds with salt and pepper hair.
