Philadelphia police are searching for the man who they say sexually assaulted a 63-year-old woman late last week inside of her Northeast Philadelphia home.
Police say the burglary happened on the 7900 block of Loretta Avenue just after midnight Thursday morning.
The suspect, who police say is in his 20s, entered the woman's home and allegedly began to sexually assault her. When the woman began to struggle, police say the suspect struck her several times in the head with a hammer.
Police say the suspect ran out of the home as the woman began to scream.
The man was seen driving a white Toyota Celica, police said. You can watch surveillance video of the suspect on the Philadelphia Police Department YouTube channel.
