(MyFoxBoston.com) – It's been less than two days since the bombings, and already, watchdog groups are warning of potential online scammers looking to profit off of the tragedy. Non-profit experts say charity fraud peaks in the days and weeks following a tragedy as they prey on consumer emotions. It's being reported there has already been at least one fake Twitter account set up to make money off the marathon tragedy. Users called the account out as fake and Twitter quickly shut it down.Local consumer affairs officials told FOX 25 they are hearing of scams like this and starting to investigate.
