NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A student at Uniondale High School on Long Island is accused of stabbing a fellow student at school Wednesday, according to Nassau County Police.

Oscar Castaneda, 20, is accused of using a sharp object to stab a 16-year-old boy in the neck and back, puncturing his lung.

It happened Wednesday at about 11:39 a.m. in the lunchroom, police said.

Cops arrested Castaneda and charged him with first-degree assault fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

The victim was hospitalized.

Police don't have a motive for the attack.

Castaneda was due to be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Thursday.
