NEW BALTIMORE -

Police say a 21-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle and dragged before the driver sped away outside a New Baltimore apartment complex early Thursday morning.

New Baltimore Police Chief Timothy Wiley says the woman was taken to McLaren Macomb Hospital where she is said to be in serious but stable condition.

The incident took place at the Imperial Gardens apartment complex near the 35000 block of 23 Mile Road.

The suspect is believed to be driving a dark-colored, four-door SUV with possible passenger side damage. He's described as a white male in his early 20s. A white female was also said to be inside the SUV.

Anyone with information is asked to call New Baltimore police.
