Boston gets back to normal after manhunt

Posted: Updated:

BOSTON (AP) — After the search for the second suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings turned the city and some suburbs into ghost towns, things are expected to get back to normal with the start of a new work week.

Traffic started to build on the major arteries into the city early Monday, and public schools in Boston and around the state were scheduled to reopen after a weeklong vacation.

People were told to stay off the streets and businesses were asked to stay closed Friday as police searched for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

Meanwhile, two victims of the Patriots' Day bombings will be remembered Monday. A funeral for Krystle Campbell is scheduled in her hometown of Medford.

Boston University has scheduled a memorial service in honor of Lu Lingzi, the Chinese graduate student who also died.
