(MyFoxBoston.com) – On Feb, 6 2013, Tamerlan Tsarnaev was the last customer of the day at Phantom Fireworks in Seabrook, N.H.

According to longtime manager April Walton, he made this request to the clerk who helped him.

"He asked her to point him directly to the most powerful and loudest firework we had," Walton told FOX 25's Ted Daniel.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev purchased two large mortar kits. Each lock and load box contains 24 shells. Each shell contains a fuse and two different types of explosive powder.

"I actually broke down and cried just because it was very overwhelming to know that somebody that had done something so awful – here with him."

Tamerlan Tsarnaev paid $200 in cash and used his Massachusetts driver's license to enroll in the store's loyalty program.

It is unknown if the fireworks Bomber number one purchased in Seabrook were used in constructing the bombs that exploded at the Boston Marathon.

Phantom Fireworks VP William Weimer said via telephone that he thought it was unlikely.

"We estimate that he would have been able to harvest maybe a pound, pound and a quarter, to a pound in a half of powder. Certainly would not have been sufficient powder to manufacture as many improvised devices as the news media reported he had," Weimer said.
