SOUTH HAVEN, Ind. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A 70-year-old northwest Indiana man admitted going outside naked to take out his trash Tuesday morning, the Post-Tribune is reporting.

A woman driving south on McCool Road in South Haven, Ind., with her 1-year-old son in the car told Porter County Sheriff's police she saw a "hairy (man) with a beer belly" masturbating outside a garage in the 700 block of McCool Road about 9:30 a.m.

Police said the path the suspect walked outside was about 27 feet and visible from the South Haven Public Library, the intersection of McCool Road and County Road 700N, and from neighbors' windows.

The suspect was not arrested, although police requested county prosecutors to charge him with misdemeanor public indecency and public nudity.

The National Weather Service said the temperature at the time was in the upper 50s at Porter County Regional Airport in Valparaiso.
