Officials search New Bedford landfill for Marathon bombing evidence

Posted: Updated:

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Authorities are searching a New Bedford landfill Thursday for evidence connected to the Boston Marathon bombings. SKYFOX was live over the scene.

They are combing through mounds of trash at the Crapo Hill Landfill that could be related to last Monday's bombings.

Brothers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev allegedly built three pressure cooker bombs and several homemade grenades.

Three people in New Bedford were detained by the FBI for questioning in connection with Tsarnaev last Friday.

The landfill is near Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's UMass Dartmouth dorm room, where he was spotted after the bombings.
