Police: Del. Man Arrested With Over $34,000 In Heroin

A Milton, Delaware man was arrested by Wilmington Police with 2,599 bags of heroin and one gram of marijuana.

The street value of the heroin is estimated at $34,000 dollars.

Investigators made the arrest during a vehicle stop Tuesday evening.  Lopez was driving a Ford Focus and failed to signal prior to making a left turn.  Lopez initially stopped his vehicle, but then reversed and attempted to flee.  In the process, he struck an investigator's vehicle and a police car.  Lopez was eventually taken into custody.

Lopez is a probationer, and convicted felon.  He was committed to the HR Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $122,000 cash bail.

    Wednesday will be less humid but it remains warm all week long.
