BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The cause of death for the man known to the FBI as bomber number 1 at the Boston Marathon attacks has been determined.
A medical examiner said the information would be released when Tamerlan Tsarnaev's death certificate has been filed.
The death certificate won't be filed until the body has been released to a family member. It was not immediately known when that would be.
Tsarnaev's parents had in recent days backed off on plans to visit the United States. It was not known if his widow, who lives in North Kingstown, R.I., would claim the body.
