Police chief resigns after facing OUI charges in Thursday night crash

TYNGSBOROUGH, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The Sudbury police chief is off the job after he was accused of drunkenly crashing a town-issued car.

Town Manager Maureen Valente says Police Chief Richard Glavin submitted his resignation after an incident Thursday.

The MetroWest Daily News reports Glavin was arrested in Tyngsborough Thursday night after a two-car crash on Chronopoulos Way. Glavin was arraigned Friday on charges that include drunken driving, driving to endanger, and assault.
