CHARLESTON, S.C. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A Southwest Airlines plane bound for New England made an emergency landing Tuesday. Officials said three unruly passengers were disruptive and wouldn't listen to flight crew restrictions on a flight from Orlando, Fla., to Providence, R.I. The pilot was forced to stop at Charleston International Airport Tuesday night. The passengers were taken off the plane and met by the FBI, Homeland Security, and federal air marshals.
Southwest says the three will not be charged and that there was some kind of misunderstanding over where to put a piece of luggage. The plane was back on route to Providence around midnight and landed without incident.
