Ron Perlman: You Might See Me On A Bike

Posted: Updated:

"I'm either killing or getting killed. There is no middle ground". That's how Ron Perlman summed up his career to Steve and Maria Monday morning on Good Day LA. The "Sons of Anarchy" star is the grand marshal of the MS Ride for Hope taking place this weekend. He and other members of the "Sons of Anarchy" cast will be riding for the cause.

Ron rides a motorcycle on his show and when pressed by Steve about how good he is in real life, he plays coy. He also talks about how fans from virtually walk of life come up to him and say they love the show....and love to hate his character! Ron also talks about low expectations and being "completely wired for failure" when it comes to taking roles in TV shows.

Fun facts about Ron:

  • Perlman made his feature film debut in Jean-Jacques Annaud's film Quest for Fire (1981)
  • Known for having played Vincent in the TV series Beauty and the Beast (for which he won a Golden Globe)
  • He has starred in the Guillermo del Toro films Cronos, Blade II, and as the comic book character Hellboy in both 2004's Hellboy and its 2008 sequel Hellboy II: The Golden Army.

Born and raised in Liverpool, signed by an inexperienced agent named Brian Epstein, hustled into the studio with a genius producer named George Martin...and out of that session came a hit song called "Do You Want To Know A Secret." Now here's the twist…we're not talking about The Beatles.
