BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – Insurance companies can boggle you down with paperwork following an accident, but there is no section to file a claim seeking breast implants as retribution.
Here's how we get to the alleged bigger bra size offer. This is in both Boston newspapers Friday. The report is this: a lawyer bumped his car into 24-year-old pedestrian Deborah Yi from Roxbury while turning from Seaport Lane onto Congress Street in South Boston.
The lawyer reportedly stopped his car, exchanged contact info with Yi, who said she was not hurt. An hour later, the lawyer says Yi called him and said she would not press criminal charges if he gave her $7,000 for breast enhancement surgery.
The Boston Herald says Yi proceeded to call and text him repeatedly for the next several days, until Tuesday when working in conjunction with state police, the lawyer reportedly met Yi at Liberty Wharf in the Seaport wearing a recording device in which he handed her an envelope containing $3,000.
Yi allegedly demanded an additional $3,500 within a day or she'd go to the police.
The paper says state police arrested Yi following the meeting where she allegedly admitted extortion was wrong, but thought it was a way to make easy money.
Yi pleaded not guilty and is out of jail. She's due back in court facing one count of extortion in July.
