Second arrest made in beating of Brown University student
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A second person has been arrested in the beating of a Brown University student from Norwood.
Dillon James Ingham, 22, of New York, is charged with one count of disorderly conduct for his alleged connection to the incident.
Ingham's arrest comes on the same day 25-year-old Tory Lussier was released on bail. Lussier is accused of assaulting Joseph Sharkey Sunday.
Lussier was ordered to have no contact with the witnesses in the case, the Providence Journal reports. The 25-year-old entered no plea to the charge of felony assault. Bail was set at $10,000, with surety. His father posted the required $1,000.
Lussier's lawyer said it was a case of self-defense, according to the newspaper.
Lussier was arrested at his home in Vernon, Conn., Wednesday. He's accused of sucker-punching Sharkey, leaving him in critical condition.
Sharkey's father told the newspaper his son was trying to break up a fight and was hit while attempting to walk away.
