High pressure will be slipping to our east while an approaching warm front will be inching closer Sunday. We'll see some sunshine this morning, but that will fade behind clouds as the day goes on.
Temperatures will range mainly in the 60s, but a few spots north and west of Boston may touch near 70. Of course those areas that see a bit more sunshine may see the warmest temperatures. This approaching warm front will also bring hit or miss showers to the area from the southwest to northeast Sunday, but mainly during the afternoon and evening hours. Most plans should be okay during the morning and midday hours, but just be aware a shower may be around later in the day.
Scattered showers will be likely Sunday night as that warm front passes to our north. The passage of this front will introduce much warmer and humid air into New England. High temperatures on Monday will be in the mid to upper 70s with the threat of showers early, but with a few breaks of sunshine developing.
Our focus for the remainder of the week will be on this front to our north that will become stationary and meander across New England this week. Areas of low pressure will ride along it and provide the risk of showers and storms during the week and keep us unsettled. It won't be a complete washout any day, in fact, there will be some sunshine at times too! However, temperatures will fluctuate depending on the exact placement of that boundary. Take a look at the seven day for the extended forecast.
