Student, N. Attleboro man seriously injured in head-on crash

PEPPERELL, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Two male victims were seriously injured in a two-car, head-on crash that occurred on Townsend Street in Pepperell early Sunday morning.

Steven Feeney, 18, of Townsend, and Adam Witkins, 30, of North Attleboro are in serious, but stable condition after the crash which occurred in front of 112 Townsend St. at about 12:15 a.m., police said.

Police said a passing motorist reported the crash.

Feeney and Witkins were the only people in their cars when the collision occurred. Police do not believe any other cars were involved in the crash.

Both victims were transported to Boston area hospitals via medical helicopters.

Feeney is a student at North Middlesex Regional and allegedly attended the school's prom Saturday night; however, police have said the crash was not caused by any post-prom related activities.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
