ATTLEBORO, Mass (MyFoxBoston.com) – A Rhode Island man was arrested on drunk driving charges after police found he was nearly three times over the legal alcohol limit while driving on Route 1 in Attleboro early Monday morning, police said.

Aristides Rodrigues, 35, of Central Falls, is facing several charges including drunken driving, driving to endanger, and failing to drive within marked lanes. He was arrested at about 3 a.m. after police say he was seen driving erratically while traveling on Route 1 in South Attleboro, reports The Sun Chronicle.

According to the newspaper, Rodrigues drifted into a southbound lane, struck a curb, and traveled at speeds varying from 8 mph to 40 mph. He also allegedly went through two red lights at Route 1 and Mendon Road.

Police said Rodrigues' breath-alcohol test registered at 0.23 percent.
