HOLYOKE, Mass. (AP) - After more than a year and a half without a homicide, Holyoke has had two fatal shootings in less than a week.
Police say a man was shot multiple times behind a Cabot Street building at about 1 p.m. Sunday.
The victim was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield where he was pronounced dead. His name was not released.
There was no word on arrests.
The shooting came just five days after 35-year-old Daniel Rodriguez was found shot several times on a city street.
There have been no arrests on that shooting either.
Police do not think the shootings are connected.
