NH state police, DA investigating shooting involving officer in Manchester
MANCHESTER, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) - New Hampshire state police and the attorney general are investigating a shootout involving an officer in Manchester.
It happened Monday night on Merrimack Street. According to the Union Leader, an officer shot a driver in the front seat of his Jeep after a chase. Authorities said the SUV was weaving down streets. When police caught up to him, the suspect started driving towards them. That's when officers fired shots.
The suspect was hit twice. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. His name has not been released.
Officials aren't saying why the man was being chased in the first place.
