ATLANTA -

A military identification bracelet of a World War II veteran that was found in a local park led to a family reunion.

Slone Griner found the bracelet in the bushes at John Howell Park. Using the eight enlistment numbers and the name, William Albright, engraved on the bracelet, Griner spent months trying to find the bracelet's rightful owner.

While watching FOX 5 on Thursday, Chris and John Albright recognized the bracelet as their father's.

They said that William Albright was a funeral home director in Utica, N.Y. before moving the family to Doraville, Ga.  in 1970. He worked at a Tucker Concrete plant.  The World War II veteran died in 1996, and the brothers went their separate ways. They had not seen each other for seven years before Friday's reunion.

A third Albright brother said that his wife lost the bracelet in the park. He agreed to let John, the oldest of the boys, keep it.

"I'm going to take it and I'm going to put it with my son that's in the Navy. I'm going to put with his stuff now," John Albright.

Chris Albright hopes that the bracelet will bring the family together.

"I would love to get back with my estranged brothers and make this something that can open some doors for us," said Chris Albright.

Slone Griner now realizes she did the right thing by searching for the owner of the mysterious bracelet.

"Always follow your gut, your instinct. Listen to your heart," said Griner. "They hadn't seen each other in seven years you know that was amazing."

The Albrights planned to have dinner with their wives and children.
